Letter of Intent

Letter of Intent is basically a letter(not more than one page) explaining why you want to pursue your elective in this university/college and how it would help you in your career. Now its upto you and skills how to write a good letter of intent. Please dont copy paste others' patterns as there are always many people copy pasting and if your letter is exactly the same as someone else, it leave an extremely bad impression.

Hi there

I am Talha Nawaz from Pakistan;currently final year medical student at KEMU Lahore.During my clinical education at largest Government hospital(Mayo Hospital Lahore) I have realized that there is high prevalence of gastrointestinal and infectious diseases in my region which contributes a major share to morbidity and mortality in our setup. It has drawn my enthusiasm to acquire clinical skills and learn advanced treatment modalities being offered at your setup so as to deal effectively with the concerned medical problems in my practice in near future after completing my education. I request you to provide me the opportunity to get this wonderful learning experience . thanks

hey doctors,

i need some help with the nih application..in section 1(personal information),in the column of 'state' in address they say foreign students should write 'NA'.. then shud we not write the remaining part of our address??i mean address wthout state is kinda incomplete???

then in section 2 they ask for year at current level & they gave options only upto 4th yr..bt i am in 5th yr (internship yr)..wat do i write in there then??

then wat do we write in current cumulative gpa & school grading scale..they say if we choose other in this section we gotta specify our school grading sysytem in section 3...i dint understand this...???

lastly in d toefl score column are we supposed to mention our speakin session score also or is the total score sufficient??i mean if we mention both we need 2 seperate them by a comma or somethin but d format isnt acceptin more than 5 characters..

any body here...plz answer my queries & help me out..

thank u in advance

write ur complete address without state...

u can mention 4th year as it is technically the last year... mention pass/fail in school grading system... u mention ur total toefl score...

hi..

this is regarding the nih application..in the academic information section they ask for student's phone number at school..is it ok if we mention our own mobile number???then in the same section they ask for student's address at school & in d column of state they mention (DC for washington DC)..what do we write there??

in the course work & grades section is it that we write the subject & pass in the grades??they also say to include the course work currently in progress..i am doing my internship..wat do i mention??

lastly they say to contact some Mr.vicki mallik if we are trying to apply sooner than the electronic application will allow..but i guess nih applications are accepted all the year round..please clarify me on this point..

thanku

You mention your contact number and address... you dont mention any state...

You mention your transcript in coursework and grades and mention pass/fail in grading system.

If you dont find dates of 2012 or months after it, contact her!

Hello Umar Bhai,

I guess you are showered by compliments by the minute for the great work that you've been doing! You deserve all the applause!

In your reply to Tejaswi above, with regards to the NIH application, you mentioned that we need to contact the institute if the 2012 dates aren't published...

Are you actually saying that all the 2011 slots are already filled up?!

Thanks a lot for your kind words... God bless you!

No I did not mean.. 2011 slots are already filled up... no one except elective co-ordinator knows which spots are open and which ones are filled!
